In the early 90s my company became a member of The Design Business Association. As you may know, subscribers to an association have to adhere to a code of conduct. These place great importance on professionalism, transparency and business etiquette.
Recently I was researching other creative’s websites and came across a video that highlighted something that impacts the creative industry both financially and morally on a daily basis. Speculation or rather free pitching.
Now don’t get me wrong. If a creative business wishes to undertake work for no payment, then would any sound business not take them up on it? The question I would ask is how can that creative business hold value in it’s own offering?
